Jean

Cllr Jean Batchelor

Deputy Chair

I have lived in the parish of Betchton all my life. I attended Hassall Green Primary School and had to cycle the mile and a half to school each day. I then went to Crewe Grammar School and went on to become a qualified teacher. I have been on the Parish Council for 51 years, having been both Chair and Vice Chair. I care for the parish and it’s people and try my best to support both.

Joan Ramsey

Cllr Joan Ramsey

I moved into the parish three years ago, from Flixton, with my husband on his retirement. We have a grown up daughter who works in the NHS.

My career was in retail banking for over 30 years until redundancy, then I worked as a primary school secretary and a school governor. On retirement, I volunteered at my local hospital and joined in the campaign to save it from closure. (Trafford General.)

In my spare time I like gardening, learning to play the piano, art and researching our family history.
